Dr. Silvia Llorente graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid and later completed her master's degree specialising in Orthodontics at the University of Mississippi in Madrid.
"The reason I specialised in this discipline is that we could call it the 'link' of dental treatments. Always with a correct initial diagnosis, the orthodontic patient must begin their treatment having reached a good oral state (orthodontics cannot be performed without healthy gums and teeth; therefore, cleanings, fillings, root canals, and other prior treatments will be essential). With orthodontic treatment, the patient will benefit not only in terms of aesthetics but also in functionality regarding chewing, ease of hygiene, issues related to articulation or bruxism, etc. Once the treatment is completed, orthodontics will also allow us to position the teeth correctly in the arches of the maxilla and mandible, leaving the precise spaces in case the patient needs to have implants placed because they have lost teeth before coming to our clinic."
