MODALITY

Theoretical Part

The student will receive theoretical training on the use of planning with surgical-prosthetic criteria and will actively participate by applying that knowledge.

The student must bring their laptop with the following minimum requirements:

  • Operating system: Windows 10.
  • Processor: Intel Quad Core i7 or higher.
  • 16 GB of RAM.
  • NVIDIA or AMD graphics card with at least 2 GB of RAM.
  • 5 GB of hard drive space.

Practical Part

The student will practice on their computer everything explained in the theory, will design and plan the case to be operated on in the live surgery, and will have a practical workshop on models. Live surgery.

Testimonial from students of past editions

Simplify your surgeries by planning correctly using open-source software.
Reduce the learning curve when transitioning to more complex regenerative surgeries.
Plan, design, and create your own block harvesting or maxillary sinus access guides.
Reduce stress during surgeries by having everything planned in advance, avoiding intraoperative improvisations.

WORKSHOP

Integration of meshes. Fusion between intraoral scans and CBCT.

Segmentation of structures (bone, teeth, nerves, blood vessels).

Extraction of virtual blocks (ascending ramus, chin) for exact graft volume calculation.

Design of bone block harvesting guides (chin, ascending ramus).

Design of positioning guides for bone plates (formwork, Khoury technique) for three-dimensional bone regeneration.

Design of bone window guides for access to the maxillary sinus.

Design of bone models (extracted from CBCT).

Exporting and preparing files for 3D printing.

Practical application on models of the explained bone reconstruction techniques.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

To ensure that students who have recently completed an advanced bone regeneration course have a smoother foundation to start applying these techniques with greater confidence for themselves and their patients.

To help students who have been using complex regenerative techniques for a while to reduce the time these procedures require in their practice, making them more productive and efficient.
